The Three P's

This may be somewhat of a hidden topic in the world of bowhunting and I think it's one many people are unware of.

I've always followed these three P's to bowhunting and I think if more hunters did they would be more successful. Some of you may have already been following these without knowing either. The three P's are patience, persistance, and pereseverance. Patience is defined as the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. This is crucial in bowhunting. One can't expect to go out and kill a big buck every day in the stand. You need patience to be a successful bowhunter. (Granted if you really want to be successful you need all three of these) Next is persistance.

Persistance is definded as firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition. This means continuing to bowhunt all season long until your goal is reached.

And lastely perseverance is defined as steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. Perserverance is another cruical "P" that will make or break you in the whitetail woods. If you are able to perservere though the bad weather, bad luck, or bad breaks you have recieved thoughout the year, you will vastly increase your chances of harvesting a mature buck. With all this being said, you need all three of the P's to be successful year after year. They may just be words and not physical, but if you put them into action, I promise you will start seeing results in the field.
